Diet for Rough Dry Skin:
This type of skin may be caused by poor distribution of water in your skin, EFA deficiency, or insufficient intake of water and vitamin A. EFA deficiency basically means shortage of essential fatty acids, the diet for rough dry skin should be low in saturated fats and high in essential fatty acids. Some foods rich rich in essential fatty acids are
- Flax seed
- Sunflower seed
- Pumpkin seed
- Fatty Fish that live in cold water are rich sources of Omega 3 fatty acid
- Spinach is a rich source of omega 3 fatty acid known are ALA
- Vegetable oils

For fighting dry skin you should also drink lots of water and eat plenty of water rich foods like watermelon, and vegetables. Choose your vegetables by color. Yellow, red, and orange ones are good sources of beta carotene. Avoid tea and coffee.
Diet for Oily Skin
Excess oil in diet and stress increases sebum production in body leading to oily skin (there may be other causes for oily skin as well). Plan your diet to be low on fat but get sufficient essential oil from seeds. Limit consumption of alcohol, tea, and coffee.
Diet for Acne Prone Skin
Acne is caused due to increased oil secretions and blockage of oil glads and ducts in the skin. The reasons for this are age, stress, Vitamin A, and zinc deficiency. Reduce consumption of refined and junk food. Eat a balanced diet with lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, nuts, and wheat germ.
Skin indicates your health which is directly dependent upon what you eat. So eat good stay healthy and have a ravishing glowing skin.
