Pink is often considered a difficult colour to wear on lids. With this bridal makeup look Jenna takes on the challenge and pushes past the safety of pastels to prove that bright pink eye shadow can make for an amazingly beautiful and bold look.
Step 1: Eyes
Colour Surge Eye Shadow Quad in Pink Chocolate – begin by applying a generous layer of the pale pink shade all over the lid and past the lid crease. The shade will act as a base and will work with the other shades for more complexity.
Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Strawberry Fudge – using the same brush, dust the pink shadow from the duo over the same area and focus the strength of the colour on the middle of the lid.
Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Precious Posy – this bright pink shade should be used on the upper most portion of the lid, blending into the other shades. Focus the majority of the colour on the top of the lid and crease.
High Impact Mascara in Black and Quickliner for Eyes Intense in Black – the combination of extra full lash and black liner make this pink eye look more wearable for all. The key is to build the lashes, layering multiple coats on top of each other. Be sure to allow each coat to dry before applying the next coat.Don’t forget to coat the bottom and corner lashes, ensuring that the full lash look is uniform around the entire eye. Use multiple coats as well, to achieve the same effect as the top lashes.
Step 2: Lips
High Impact Lipstick in Toasted Rose – a natural pink lip is a perfect way to play off the strong pink hues in the rest of the look. The natural lip tone will help to keep the look grounded, and prevent it from becoming overdone.
Step 3: Cheek
Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Iced Lotus – bringing in a new shade with more shimmer adds variation and texture to the overall look and makes it more interesting. The colour should be placed on the apples of the cheeks and blended softly in a circular motion.
